Sister Derby Dishes on Her Degrees, Tidiness and More in Revealing Interview

Ghanaian singer Sister Derby recently sat down for a candid interview where she disclosed lesser known details about herself that surprised many.

Speaking to Giovani Caleb on 3FM, the artist also known as Deborah Owusu-Bonsu revealed she actually holds not just one but two degrees. 

Sister Derby shared that she got her first degree in Publishing with a focus on graphic design and illustration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007. She was even a junior to famous blogger Ameyaw Debrah.

The talented musician then attained her Masters in Publishing for Communication from the University of the Arts London in 2009.

Beyond her impressive educational background, Sister Derby also runs a foundation called TAM which promotes environmentalism and educates kids on reducing plastic use.


On a personal level, she confessed she enjoys alone time and can be quite tidy. Sister Derby makes her bed every morning before leaving the house.

Other charming tidbits were that she has a sweet tooth and loves organization. These were all new fun facts that her fans likely didn't know before.
