Burna Boy is back with his 7th studio album, and the Afrobeats hitmaker is proclaiming victory with I Told Them... The 15-track project landed on the 25 of August 2023 and finds Burna doubling down on his signature fusion of African rhythms, dancehall vibes, and hip hop flair.
The album title itself shouts a defiant told-you-so to Burna's early doubters, as he reminds everyone he's been calling his shots all along. As he told Apple Music's Zane Lowe, "I basically predicted everything that's happening now."
Burna's been building an empire his way from Lagos to London, and I Told Them... presents another milestone. The record sees appearances from 21 Savage, J. Cole, RZA and other features across its motivational afro-anthems.
It's arrived alongside a unique promotional magazine offering insight into Burna's process. The limited edition zine contains a conversation between Burna and RZA, letters from Burna's loved ones, and exclusive pics that pull back the curtain.
