Black Sherif and Yemi Alade Link Up Backstage at Trace Awards, Tease Collaboration

Exciting behind-the-scenes footage has emerged showing Ghana's Black Sherif connecting with Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade at the 2023 Trace Awards in Kigali, Rwanda. 

The buzzy awards event celebrating African music and culture kicked off on October 20th, with the glamorous ceremony held on October 22nd. 


Backstage at the show, breakout rapper Black Sherif was spotted greeting beloved afropop diva Yemi Alade. In the clip shared via Facebook, Yemi Alade can be heard enthusiastically saying "let's make it happen" as the two stars discuss a possible collaboration.

Black Sherif then seals the deal, declaring "one hundred percent my Queen" before the pair exchange a friendly hug. Yemi Alade continues congratulating the young Ghanaian sensation on his success.

Fans are thrilled to see two of Africa's most promising talents linking up. Both artists have been applauded for their unique sounds and global appeal. 



The conversation sparked excitement that a joint single or album cut from Black Sherif and Yemi Alade could arrive soon. 

With Black Sherif dropping songs like "Kwaku The Traveller" and Yemi Alade behind afropop smashes like "Johnny", a team-up between the Ghanaian and Nigerian stars would be major.
