Hawaiian Legend Johnny Valentine Claims He First Taught Bruno Mars to Sing

Johnny Valentine, an honored Hawaiian entertainer who has dedicated his life to bringing people joy, recently made an intriguing claim on social media - that he first taught pop superstar Bruno Mars how to sing when Mars was just a toddler.

Valentine, known for his lively stage shows that embody the aloha spirit, stated that 35 years ago when Bruno was only 3, he taught the young boy to sing and dance like Elvis Presley. A year later, Valentine claims he then introduced little Bruno to Michael Jackson's iconic dance moves.

According to Valentine, when Bruno was in high school he would even catch the bus to Valentine's house for guitar and voice lessons. The two forged a great mentor-mentee relationship in those early years.

Valentine gives partial credit to his own sister Bernie for getting infant Bruno started singing as a baby. By age 2, Valentine says Bruno could already sing perfectly in tune.

With Bruno's Filipino singing background from his mother's side and his Puerto Rican father's rhythmic instincts, the influences of Michael Jackson, Elvis and Motown shaped Bruno into the sensational entertainer he is today in Valentine's view.

Now one of the most successful pop hitmakers worldwide with smash hits like "Uptown Funk," "24K Magic," "Grenade," and "Locked Out of Heaven," Bruno Mars has undoubtedly secured his place in music history.

And according to respected Hawaiian elder Johnny Valentine, he helped plant the first seeds of Bruno's singing talent as a toddler over three decades ago. He even gave Bruno guitar lessons right in his own living room.

Valentine expressed great pride watching the young boy he first taught to sing become a global music icon today. It just goes to show great mentors can recognize talent at any age!
