Award-winning Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay is intensifying her philanthropic efforts through her Shay Foundation's EduCare program. She recently made a generous donation to the Weija Presby/MA-3 School in Weija, Accra to support children's education.
Truckloads of educational materials including new uniforms, books and bags were delivered to smiling students thanks to Wendy Shay's act of generosity. By addressing the school's needs, she hopes to encourage pupils to pursue their dreams no matter what.
Speaking on the donation, Wendy Shay shared: "We are delighted to support these children through our EduCare program and contribute to the education of children in Ghana..."
Established in 2019, the Shay Foundation partners with public and private organizations on initiatives supporting healthcare and education needs in underprivileged Ghanaian communities.
Wendy Shay's passion for enabling access to quality education and uplifting lives goes beyond philanthropy - these themes are also embedded in her empowering music. Her recent single "Africa Money" sees her tackling the issue of corruption hindering the continent's progress.
As Wendy Shay strives to be a voice for the underserved in Ghana through uplifting anthems, she complements this advocacy by directly funding initiatives like EduCare. Her hands-on donation to Weija Presby/MA-3 School and its students epitomizes the essence of social responsibility.
